INTRODUCTION

HAO and your association/club would be nothing without members, so always promote membership! Here are a few “talking points” to help out when you're talking to members and potential members:

• Once you join HAO, you will automatically become a member of your college's constituent association, and any applicable area clubs or special interest groups. There are no additional membership fees.
• The alumni organization is YOUR Cougar Connection - to connect you to: fellow alumni, students, the University of Houston, faculty, and staff members.
• We're here to help you network, stay in touch with old friends and meet new ones, job search, and most importantly - have fun!
• Great events throughout the year, like happy hours, opportunities for legislative advocacy, networking events, golf tournaments, and more

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

• $10: New Grad (graduates within one year of graduation)
• $25: Recent Grad (graduates within 2-3 years of graduation)
• $25: Golden Cougar (senior citizens - individual or joint)
• $25: CampusCougar individual (UH faculty/staff)
• $35: CampusCougar joint (at least one person needs to be UH faculty/staff)
• $45: Annual member individual
• $55: Annual member joint
• $100: Century Club (individual or joint)
• $1,000: Life Member individual
• $1,500: Life Member joint

Non-alumni are welcome to join at the Golden Cougar, CampusCougar, Annual, Century Club, or Life Member levels.

LIFE MEMBER CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE
The Life Member Circle of Excellence program was created to honor Life Members who choose to give an additional annual year-end gift to the University of Houston Alumni Association, above and beyond the Life Membership commitment. Circle of Excellence gifts help HAO keep the “Cougar Connection” strong for UH graduates – through marketing efforts, student recruitment, legislative advocacy, and increasing alumni support.

All Circle of Excellence donors will be recognized in Houston Alumline and at our annual reception. Donors are also invited to an exclusive Circle of Excellence reception and receive a unique lapel pin.

DONOR LEVELS

• Gold: annual gift of $250 or more (gold lapel pin)
• Ruby: annual gift of $500 or more (ruby/gold lapel pin)
• Diamond: annual gift of $1,000 or more (diamond/gold lapel pin)
