HAO LOGO USE POLICY

The HAO logo is the property of the University of Houston Alumni Association and may not be used without prior approval from the HAO Board of Directors or its designees. Use of this logo without express permission may constitute trademark infringement and unfair competition in violation of federal and state laws.

The HAO logo may be used as a graphic element within or on a publication only when used within these guidelines.

The University of Houston Alumni Association logo may be reproduced in the following colors only (any other color or combination must be approved prior to use):

  • black with Cougar red (PMS 185)
  • all black
  • all white (reversed out)
  • reversed out of black with the interlocking UH and “Alumni” bar in Cougar red and “Houston” in white.

The logo will not appear with any other logos without approval and will be used as one element as it appears in its entirety. It may not be used in parts nor may it be graphically altered. Other graphics may be no closer than the width of the interlocking UH.

Officially chartered constituent associations, area clubs, and special interest groups of HAO will have their own logo that includes their name below the logo. HAO will provide camera-ready logos for each constituent association, area club, and special interest group.

No matter what the size of the logo, the constituent association, area club, or special interest group name should have the same relationship with the logo as 12-point type in a sans serif font would if the logo were 1 inch high.

The HAO logo must appear on all printed communication of HAO, programs, officially chartered constituent associations, area clubs, and special interest groups, and HAO programs. These guidelines are subject to revision by the HAO Board of Directors.
