Black Alumni Adopt-A-Block

May 31, 2008 - The University of Houston Black Alumni successfully held its Annual Adopt-A-Block Clean-up on May 31st. On what turned out to be a beautiful Saturday morning, board members met at the intersection of Scott and Wheeler to remove trash, bottles and other litter in an effort to do its part to help beautify the community. Volunteers in attendance included Stacie Hawkins, Ayesha Simpson, Vonda Mays, Erin Bell, Martin Lavergne, and Cedric Patterson, Jr.
